P.S. – I Love You

Hello to all the lovers of Coffee, Smokes and Laughs. I guess with this pleasantry, I’ve greeted almost every reader of this blog. I am sure there wouldn’t be a single soul who wouldn’t like any of these or all of these. (Referring to my blog title)

In the recent times, I am counting days – nah! Guys I am not on any death bed, rather a new addition into my family is expected in the month of September. The time is truly a reason celebrate and cherish as this is the best time for an individual, at least for men.

Men have limited experiences folks. Women have all the best memories right from conceiving and carrying the tiny little ones in their womb. I am truly jealous when my wife tells me that she can feel the baby kicks. My god! It must be just an AWESOME FEELING

Of late, the feeling has become more cherished when I too felt the baby kicks while I kept my hands on the tummy. And what more, here comes the big thing, my wife keeps telling, the baby is more active and moves his/her limbs more vigorously when he/she hears my voice. That is the best moment I have treasured. I am sure this experience is one strong shot that is nothing short of cocaine or LSD.

A tiny little zygote that has been receptive for external noises is undeniably an exciting thing. Come to think of it, I am already excited to a very large extent when I get to know the new developments on a regular basis. As days are nearing, I just can’t wait to wait to hold that little ones in my hands, although I am shit scared to hold infants. Time to defy my fears!

This alone has kept me busy and the thought of having baby make me go to that ‘extra mile’ (the management jargon… ha-ha!) which I never bothered before. May be, this could be the thought what makes daddies become more serious and more worried about giving better life and better experiences.

I guess the phase of entering into fatherhood (although, I am few weeks away) is making me think of all those things my dad has done. Tie my shoelaces, stand as a pillar when something goes wrong in my life or support me in times of my failures (I had many, in all the areas of life).

I know this is becoming emotional, but can’t help it. I’ve to thank my gonna be addition for making me realize that my dad has always been a hero and saw his success in the little happiness I bring. Thanks dad for everything and also thanks kid for making me realize this! Love you both.

Memories

I yearned for the moments to be a magical tryst All those now have been melted like a mist I'd love to loathe the forces that have brought us together They resonate like a melancholic noise now and forever I wanted  to soak in our hugs and love Never thought I would have a painful shove Was it so easy for you to walk off as I don't exist? Or was I too insignificant for your thoughts to consist I know how many nights I cried in solitude Despite knowing your moments of delude I hoped you would realize my love and pain Alas, you've made it feel an absolute disdain (Image Courtesy: Google Images)

Two States - A Denting Thought for Mulkies

While many are in celebrations, my mind is dented badly with wounded thoughts. Sounds a pathos line beginning in the blog that claims to give little fun in reading? Yes friends, I tried my best to get over it, however, the current developments are immensely painful. The new states formation (Andhra & Telangana) has put me in a state of dented thoughts, when I rewind all the things I did since the time I was young. The streets I roamed, the number plates on the bikes and cars I drove, the cell phone tariffs, the malls and theatres and many other belonged to  Andhra Pradesh as a whole. Our proud, historic and nostalgic places etc. all have few interesting stories to share in my life on personal note. Today, these stories have taken an ugly turn and this makes me more hurt as I should refer that “When it was Andhra Pradesh”. It’s so very weird to think about few things in life that are going to be like, telling the stories to my kid that Hyderabad and other part of Telugu...
