Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility – The Classic Case of IPL

(Image Courtesy: Google Images) Not too long ago, IPL had created a rage  not only  for the quick running between the wickets but also a quick duration of time that was comfortable to fit in 2 matches in one evening, the glam and the lethal combination of movie actors, business tycoons and cricket stars and above all IPL was truly an acronym that one couldn’t forget for its post-match parties.  On the other side, the IPL series was also famous for its tongue-in-cheek link ups, romances and not to forget a little overdose of the oomph factor. Thanks to Lalit Modi, the man who sculpted the idea of bringing different people on one common platform and making a money spinning event for the cricket crazy nation.  Now my dear readers ...

Sleep Less or Sleepless ?

Hey friends! Just got back from unreasonably heavy lunch and trying to beat my post-lunch sleepy thoughts. I realized the ordeals of sleep and thought, will post few lines on some random thoughts, so that I can deviate from this sleep infested mindset. Might sound very insensible idea of overcoming this sleepy status, but it is truly a herculean  task , at least  for the coming 2 hours at least.   In this process of overcoming my sleep orientation, I have been trying recall some random thoughts and ideas, precisely on the best times of fun I had in my life. Now look at the irony, the pleasant thoughts and ideas give a person a soothing and relaxing time (both physical and psychological) which is more or less a gate pass for a sound sleep. I began questioning myself, what was I doing in situations like these before beginning my professional stint and here goes my response without wasting a nanosecond. Simple, bunk my sessions and hit the sack.   ...

Wikipedia, Please Marry Her!

(Image Courtesy: Google Images) Hey friends! Been some time I crawled back into the blog, and truly missing Coffee, Smokes and Laughs not just online, but in my everyday life too. Now it doesn’t mean that I am going through too many ordeals or hassles, but was little occupied with my work commitments. Today, I somehow decided that I should try to share few good laughs and make people a little more relaxed and rejuvenate their energy levels. One may wonder what I am up to that is making me so very busy. Actually, few friends of mine have already aske...

Breitbart R.I.P.

(Image Courtesy: Google Images) A bad news post to begin the day when one comes to about the demise of Andrew Breitbart, a renowned conservational activist and also is regarded as a vociferous voice amongst the Republican nexus. Man! Don’t know why such nice personalities who have been a learning encyclopedia for countless of people and above all, a strong source of inspiration, die so early. Come to think of it, death at 43 years of age is truly not wanted as this the significant phase of life that gives one gets an opportunity to watch their seeds prospering, be it their fortune or their family. Since the time I picked up writing as one of the most crucial activities of life, a job rather, I have had couple of opportunities to come across Andrew Breitbart’s columns and trust me, it has been few of the good reads. Having been exposed to web news module companies and digital marketing space, the growth and establishment of Breitb...

Scorching Summers and Screeching Vehicles

(Image Courtesy: Google Images) The year 2012 began with good surprises that always kept my smile widening. News by news I’ve begun to enjoy these bundles of joy with pleasant weather along with my coffee and smokes. Slowly the times began to change as the dates the in calendar ran at the pace that is almost on par with Michael Johnson, presently the retired sprinter. I have been following the same old route to my office (a stereotype guy!) which was pretty pleasant ride with an exciting combination of cool breeze and warm summers. In all this cozy and comfortable weather along with my best riding memoirs, the peace and tranquility was abundant in life. Like in movies, here comes the villain of my life (for several others as well) the summer, the entry of this summer is definitely nothing short of a gory villain in our ‘ mana’ movies. The devilish smile of this summer has already put many of us in acute problems and when it comes to m...

Dishkiav Dishkiav, Once Again at Taj

(Image Courtesy - Google Images) Looks like Hotel Taj in Mumbai is the battleground for anyone and everyone. I guess, from now on, those who wants to experience some real blood flights, can end up at Hotel Taj, without any scent of doubt. Be it ‘India’s damaad’ Kasab’s gory killing of scores of people or the celebrity fights that ended up in a super brawl, the unpleasant incidents like these are surefire to carry a mudslinging reputation to the nation's prestigious hotel. I seriously don't get why these celebrities fail to understand they are humans too and needs a little amount of civic sense and social skills. The latest and disgusting incident at Taj’s Wasabi restaurant, where the Bollywood’s ‘macho’ Saif Ali Khan ended up assaulting an NRI businessman is one distinct example of how fame makes one wear multiple skeletons.  I am definitely not here to take sides, but nevertheless, it is so very insane act to beat up some...

Picture Abhi Baaki Hai Dost!

( Image Courtesy: Google Images) The recent movies that released during the weekend have become more unbearable and I do not understand why these movie makers do not identify what exactly entertains the audience. Take the list of recent flops like EK Mein Aur Ek Tu , man! the very title itself is so uninteresting and above all, it is too boring to see Kareena Kapoor as the young, bubbly girl. Frankly, I think she really doesn’t have that young and bubbly trait in her personality and more than this, she has already set a benchmark of how ‘not’ to be an actress. Probably, Jab We Met was the only movie in which she was Okish (If this word exists) in her entire filmography. It bemuses me when I read some strong statements like, “ Indian cinema is going global ” and blah blah , since our movies are extremely substandard in concept, scripting and acting. Indeed, it is not just Kareena Kapoor, also her contemporaries and ‘ so called ’ s...
