Picture Abhi Baaki Hai Dost!

The recent movies that released during the weekend have become more unbearable and I do not understand why these movie makers do not identify what exactly entertains the audience. Take the list of recent flops like EK Mein Aur Ek Tu, man! the very title itself is so uninteresting and above all, it is too boring to see Kareena Kapoor as the young, bubbly girl.

Frankly, I think she really doesn’t have that young and bubbly trait in her personality and more than this, she has already set a benchmark of how ‘not’ to be an actress. Probably, Jab We Met was the only movie in which she was Okish (If this word exists) in her entire filmography.

It bemuses me when I read some strong statements like, “Indian cinema is going global” and blah blah, since our movies are extremely substandard in concept, scripting and acting.

Indeed, it is not just Kareena Kapoor, also her contemporaries and ‘so called’ stars Katrina Kaif, Kangana Ranaut, Shriya Saran, Bipasha Basu, etc., each of them have managed to become case studies of insipid acting. Above all, the biggest question mark, at least for me is the Deepika Padukone. I honestly, at this moment feel, Kareena Kapoor is little better than Deepika Padukone. (Bebo, guess you have a reason to celebrate on this note).

I would really like to know what these aforesaid actresses have really contributed to the Indian cinema, hardly a movie or two, their price packages zoom skyrocketing. Let us leave Shriya Saran (She is a question for herself) and try considering Kareena Kapoor’s and Deepika Padukone’s cases. Ironically, these are the two biggest actors, with no substance for acting.

The primary point that drove me to write this article is that, I happened to watch couple of promos of Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu the other day and literally shocked to see her acting. Agreed I did no acting course nor I had acted in any movie, but man as a common man who loves cinema to the greatest extent, I was simply put off with the “trying to be girlie” effort of hers.

In fact, my facial expressions have changed so involuntarily, even my mom started worrying that something has gone wrong with my health. Such was the adversity that had happened and it is beauty to learn and understand how a human being reacts to such unpleasant incidents.

All said and done, I believe Kareena Kapoor was only successful in getting the ‘anorexic size zero’ figure, which has been a great inspiration for many, and could have inspired even Shilpa Shirodkar, had the latter continued her acting.

Now it would be seriously unfair if we don’t make an effort to appreciate Deepika Padukone and in this process, I have a question for you readers!

Now you guys should tell me who is Deepika Padukone?

(A) Supposedly an Actor

(B) Page3 Headlines Lover

(C) Mallya’s Scion’s ‘Best’ Friend?

(D) Pass

Well, I apologize my readers for stopping this article abruptly, as I am still trying to find out who Deepika Padukone is and what she actually does?

Memories

I yearned for the moments to be a magical tryst All those now have been melted like a mist I'd love to loathe the forces that have brought us together They resonate like a melancholic noise now and forever I wanted  to soak in our hugs and love Never thought I would have a painful shove Was it so easy for you to walk off as I don't exist? Or was I too insignificant for your thoughts to consist I know how many nights I cried in solitude Despite knowing your moments of delude I hoped you would realize my love and pain Alas, you've made it feel an absolute disdain (Image Courtesy: Google Images)

Two States - A Denting Thought for Mulkies

While many are in celebrations, my mind is dented badly with wounded thoughts. Sounds a pathos line beginning in the blog that claims to give little fun in reading? Yes friends, I tried my best to get over it, however, the current developments are immensely painful. The new states formation (Andhra & Telangana) has put me in a state of dented thoughts, when I rewind all the things I did since the time I was young. The streets I roamed, the number plates on the bikes and cars I drove, the cell phone tariffs, the malls and theatres and many other belonged to  Andhra Pradesh as a whole. Our proud, historic and nostalgic places etc. all have few interesting stories to share in my life on personal note. Today, these stories have taken an ugly turn and this makes me more hurt as I should refer that “When it was Andhra Pradesh”. It’s so very weird to think about few things in life that are going to be like, telling the stories to my kid that Hyderabad and other part of Telugu...
